Bailey-Michelle Collins began her piano studies, age five, at the Gainesville Academy of Music and Art. She has since participated in several events nationwide, including the UF International Piano Festival and the Texas State International Piano Festival. At age 13, she competed at the 73rd annual FFMC Junior Convention and was named State Winner in Piano Solo, Musically Advanced I.
She later won first prize at the St. Petersburg College Sonatina-Sonata Festival where she performed Prokofiev’s Sonata Op. 28. Bailey furthered her success in 2012 at the 75th annual FFMC Junior Convention where she was nominated for the prestigious Irene Muir Award and named State Winner in Piano Solo, Musically Advanced II. In 2013, she competed in the Blount Slawson Young Artists Competition where she earned a generous scholarship toward the Boston University Tanglewood Institute’s summer program. That spring she also made her concert debut with the Alachua County Youth Orchestra as winner of the David Hubbell Concerto Competition. An avid learner and performer, Bailey currently studies with Dr. Kevin Orr, Professor of Piano at the University of Florida.
Chiara Rizza achieved two diplomas with honors in Catania and scuola di musica in Fiesole, under the direction of M°Pietro De Maria. She has won several National and Internationale Competitions and is now currently studying with M° Boris Petrushansky.
Rüya Melisa Bozada began her piano studies by taking private lessons when she was six years old. She started to study in Mersin State Conservatory at the age of nine. In 2009 she won the fourth prize twice in two different national piano competitions . She has participated in several summer programs and master classes. Rüya currently studies with Pianist Misha Dacic in the Mersin University State Conservatory.
Yi-Chih Lu is the prize winner from the piano competition in Miami Summer Music Festival 2015. Beside his other 13 Prizes in national and international music competition, such as Maria Canals, Sendai, Hummel, and Beethoven, His CD “My Chopin; My Brahms” was awarded from the Gold Melody Award as the “Best Interpret of Classical Music Prize”. He has been invited regularly to give piano recitals in main concert halls in America, Europe and Asia.

In the pass years, he performed in Musikverein in Vienna, Berlin Philharmoie, National Concert Hall in Taipei, and many other main concert halls. He has also worked with important orchestras including Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Sendai Philharmonic, Sendai City Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Metropolitan Orchestra, Taiwan Philharmonic (NSO), Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Sun Symphony Orchestra, Buxthehude Jugend Orchester, Taipei Philharmonic Youth Symphony Orchestra, BerlinClassicPlayers, and Arad Philharmonic. Today he has 23 Piano Concerto in his repertoire.
Born in Hong Kong, pianist Melodie WONG is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts (Music) at the CUHK, and is studying piano under the tutelage of Ms. Julie KUOK Pun-Man. She has won numerous awards in piano competitions, including 1st Prize in the Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia International Youth Piano Competition (2014), 1st Prize in the 14th Osaka International Music Competition (2013), 1st Prize in the 3rd Macau-Asia Youth Piano Competition (2013), Silver Award in the Hong Kong International Youth Music Competition (2013) and 1st Prize in the 2nd Japan-Hong Kong International Music Competition (2013). She has also come 3rd in the 71st Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition by the age of 12.
In Spring 2013, at the age of fourteen, pianist Jacob Mason won the New World Symphony Concerto Competition, the Alhambra Orchestra Concerto Competition and the Ars Flores Concerto Competition with the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 1. His debut as soloist with the New World Symphony took place on April 13, 2013. This triple-crown of concerti prizes are only a few of the accolades this upcoming young artist has achieved to date, predicting a stellar career as a performing soloist and collaborative pianist specializing in the most difficult classical and modern piano repertoire.
Upon moving to Miami, he studied piano with Naoko Takao at the University of Miami, and for many years with Debora Sanchez at Encore Music Academy of Miami. This year he is studying with Giselle Brodsky. His mentors include Kemal Gekic and Santiago Rodriguez. Two summers ago at Interlochen, Jacob was awarded the prestigious Maddy Summer Artist Award for piano performance. He most recently was one of the selected pianist to participate in the Miami Summer Music Festival Piano Institute. He also attends Miami Arts charter School.
In past years, Jacob has won the Junior Division of the Alabama Music Teachers Association two years in a row, and first place in the Junior Division of the Sonata Competition. In Miami, Jacob has won several piano competitions and awards, including the Music Teachers National Association Piano Duet Competition at the state level, a Coral Gables Music Club Scholarship, and the Miami Music Teachers Foundation’s Merit Scholarship and Elsa Conde Senior Piano Ensemble Scholarship.
Winning the Ars Flores Concerto Competition earned Jacob a partial scholarship to attend the International Music Institute and Festival USA in July of 2013. Jacob was one of five musicians attending the camp selected for a four-day, eight concert tour afterward, representing IMIF.
Jacob comes from a musical family: both his father and mother are composers and professors at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. In Birmingham, Jacob attended Creative Montessori School. In Florida, Jacob graduated from Sunrise Waldorf School 2012 year, and currently attends the Miami Arts Charter School, majoring in piano, and accompanying the MAC Choral Program, instrumental soloists, and performing with the MAC Orchestra. Jacob’s goal is to become a professional musician.
Hong Kong pianist, Stephanie Chan, started playing the piano at the age of five. Stephanie is currently studying in the music department of Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in piano under the tutelage of Ms Carol Yu. Stephanie has awarded prizes from different competitions including 4th and 5th Asian Youth Music Competition as well as the Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals. She has also awarded several scholarships including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Scholarships’ Reaching Out Award and Talent Development Scholarship, Hong Kong Baptist University’s Special Talent Award for her musical talents. Other than piano, Stephanie has a strong interest in early keyboard music where she is studying harpsichord under the tutelage of Professor David Chung YS.
Rhythmie completed her Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory. Being the 1st prize- winner of the New York International Artist Piano Competition, the Aloha International Piano competition and the NEC Marion Rubin Berman Competition, Rhythmie was also awarded the 2014 Dorothy Mackenzie Artist Recognition Award, the “Ten Best Young Artistes” award, the 2nd Prize in the 2014 National Young Artist Award and 3rd Prize in the Josef Suk International Piano Competition. Apart from performing in the Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall last year, she also performed in other venues in the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Hawaii, Prague and Dublin. As a composer, Rhythmie’s works have been premiered in Hong Kong and Boston.
My experience at the Miami Summer Music Festival was completely unique. Not only were students given the tools to become better artists, but we were given the opportunity to witness the work of world class musicians firsthand. I am left motivated and awe-inspired!
This was one of the best experiences of my life, where I had the chance to meet incredible musicians from all over the world. I found the festival a unique experience with wonderful atmosphere between the professors and students alike. An unforgettable experience and one, which I believe will make a big impact on the souls of the people who have the chance to attend!

It was my pleasure to participate the Piano Academy at the Miami Summer Music Festival. During the festival, I felt deeply inspired by the faculty and performing artists, not only by their the lessons, but also by their comments following discussions. I got so many new thoughts and Ideas, which I never got in other Master classes or programs.

The opportunity to study with several unique musicians and great pianists has been priceless. The program was intense, illuminating and inspiring for me, and I do plan to attend this great Piano Academy for many years to come.
It's great to have learnt from all faculty members. I have met great and passionate musicians in the Piano Academy this Summer, and all faculty members were always helpful and inspiring! They were always willing to spend extra time on giving us lessons, providing us with new ideas in the different pieces of repertoire we were working. It was surely a memorable journey!
