The Chamber Music Academy for Piano & Strings is a new and innovative program from the perspective of the piano.

The program will be ongoing during the duration of the Four Week Session, in a 15 days intensive encounter for all participants.

The Chamber Music Program will be directed by Internationally acclaimed pianist WALTER PONCE who has performed around the world as soloist with symphony orchestras, in solo recitals and in collaboration with many renowned artists.    Walter Ponce has performed in collaboration with numerous distinguished musicians including Sydney Harth, Jean-Jacques Kantarow, Mark Kaplan, Ani Kavafian, Jaime Laredo, Max Rabinovitsj, Zara Nelsova, Elmar Oliveira, Leslie Parnas, Alexander Schneider, Walter Trampler, the Cleveland, Audubon, American, and Lenox Quartets, and guest appearances with Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society. He has also participated in festivals at Marlboro, Ravinia, Caramoor, and Aspen to name a few.

The String Program of the Academy under the leadership of renown violists Michael Klotz and Vesna Gruppman, violinists Igor Gruppman, Gilles Apap and cellist Hee-Young Lim will offer participants the unique opportunity to participants to study Sonatas, trios, quintets, and perform them in concerts and develop special projects.

In addition to chamber music activities, participants enrolled in this program will also have one to one private lessons and masterclasses, and coaching by both, the string and piano faculty. We will also be offering  Improvisation/drama and scheduled practice sessions plus important Lecture-Presentations by our faculty.

The repertoire to be studied during these sessions will be included in the application, each week the focus of this program will be different.
